2021 NCAA Tournament Contingency Plans Announced

DURING MARCH MADNESS THIS YEAR IF COVID STRIKES A TEAM, THEY’RE GETTING LEFT BEHIND. AFTER BRACKETS ARE FINALIZED, ANY TEAM AFFECTED BY COVID WHO CAN’T PLAY THEIR SCHEDULED GAME WILL INSTANTLY BE DISQUALIFIED AND THE OPPOSING TEAM AUTOMATICALLY ADVANCES IN THE TOURNAMENT. TEAMS WILL NOT BE RESEEDED NOR WILL THE BRACKETS CHANGE. EACH CONFERENCE WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY FOR A MINIMUM OF ONE TEAM IN THIS YEAR'S TOURNAMENT. PRIOR TO SELECTION SUNDAY IF A TEAM HAS TO BACK OUT THE REPLACEMENT TEAM MUST BE AMONG THE BEST TEAMS BEING CONSIDERED FOR AN AT-LARGE BID. BRACKETS WILL BE SELECTED ON MARCH 14TH ON CBS.
