Pink Floyd has confirmed what we reported on over the weekend -- there will be a new studio album in the fall.

A post on their website says, "Pink Floyd can confirm that they are releasing a new album, The Endless River, in October 2014. It is an album of mainly ambient and instrumental music based on the 1993-94 Division Bell sessions... Work is still in progress, but more details to come at the end of the summer."

The album is produced by David Gilmour with Roxy Music guitarist Phil Manzanera, Youth and recording engineer Andy Jackson. This will be their first studio album since 1994's The Division Bell, which they re-released last week in celebration of its 20th anniversary.
