Brian Johnson says AC/DC will enter a studio in Vancouver, Canada in May to start work on a new album, their first since Black Ice in 2008. Speaking to Andy Preston of WKGR in West Palm Beach, Florida, Johnson blames the long layoff on one of the band members being "pretty ill," but he wouldn't say who.

Johnson announced a 40-show tour in celebration of the band's 40th anniversary. It's been four years since AC/DC wrapped up the Black Ice tour, and Johnson says he's "really looking forward to it" despite getting "long in the tooth."

Johnson, a car racing enthusiast, was in Palm Beach, Florida this weekend for the Grand Prix at the International Raceway there.
