Woman Who Weaponized Bees During Eviction Just Got Sentenced
Back in 2022, police in Massachusetts were carrying out an eviction at a $1.5 million home when things took a turn straight out of a low-budget action movie… with bees.
A woman in her 50s, Rorie Woods, showed up to protest the eviction with a plan that can only be described as aggressively unhinged. She pulled up in an SUV loaded with beehives, then tipped them over in an attempt to unleash a swarm on the officers.
Several officers were stung during the chaos, and Woods was arrested on the spot, still suited up in full beekeeping gear like some kind of apocalyptic honey farmer.
Fast forward to now, and the legal system has caught up with her. Woods was just convicted on six charges, including four counts of simple assault and battery and two counts of reckless assault.
She’s been sentenced to six months in jail, with credit for the 148 days she’s already served.
