Riding Vortex with my daughter who looks like she's about to puke.
Six Flags Entertainment Corporation has acquired ArieForce One, the iconic roller coaster from the now-closed Fun Spot America Atlanta. The towering steel coaster will be dismantled, moved, and reassembled at one of Six Flags' parks for the 2028 or 2029 operating season. The coaster, known for its impressive features and inversions, quickly gained a following among enthusiasts during its short three-year run. Six Flags plans to preserve the coaster's name and connection to Fun Spot America and the Arie family, with details about its new location and reopening to be announced later.
ArieForce One was built by Rocky Mountain Construction and reaches a top speed of 64 mph and stands 154 feet tall. It also features the world's largest zero-gravity stall. A zero-gravity stall is a roller coaster inversion where the train twists upside down, pauses or "stalls" in midair, and then slowly rotates back upright.
Fingers crossed Kings Island ends up getting ArieForce One! They've got the perfect open spot where the legendary Vortex once stood!
