Cincinnati, Ohio, has been named one of the three finalists for the Sundance Film Festival.
"We believe Cincinnati's dedication to the arts, hospitality, and historic theaters make it a great fit," said Cincinnati Mayor Aftab Pureval and CEO of Film Cincinnati Kristen Schlotman in a joint statement.
In July, the announcement was made that Cincy was one of the final six cities that could host the festival in 2027.
Sundance is synonymous with Park City, Utah, but the institute's contract with Park City is up for renewal in 2027, and the institute announced it would like to broaden its reach to other cities.
Boulder, Colorado, and Salt Lake City round out the top three. The Sundance Institute plans to announce their decision in late winter or early spring next year.
