Welcome to episode 14 the SOCIAL MEDIA BLITZ edition of the Native Noise Nudgecast. While browsing through my Facebook feed last week I realized just how few bands were promoting themselves. Several bands who had shows last weekend did not post one thing about the show, no recap, no thanking the fans or selling their next show. So I really paid attention to who was promoting themselves and that's how this show came together.

THIS WEEK'S SPOTLIGHT ARTIST OF THE WEEK:
Sever the Ties, formed in early 2016, is made up of members Jonathan Knosp (vocals/guitar), Johnathen Robbins aka Spider (guitar), Eric Wall (drums), and Kevin Williams (bass). This fan acclaimed "supergroup" of the local Cincinnati music scene joined forces after previous bands called it quits. Influenced by the aggressiveness of metal and the melody and groove from rock, Sever the Ties combines these strengths to develop a sound that can only be described as a powerhouse assault that you can sing and move along to. As seen in their live show this 4 piece gives a performance filled with contagious energy. With an explosive debut on the scene and the release of their first single, "Careless," Sever the Ties garnered quick attention from major market FM Rock radio stations including WEBN-FM. The band’s planning to release an EP this Summer.
