There are plans to suspend bourbon production at its James B. Beam distillery in Clermont, Kentucky for all of 2026!! If this is your drink of choice what will you do?

They say they're closing for the year to make “site enhancements” and adjust output levels. They say they are always worried about you having enough of their products so they're going to meet with their teams to discus volumes for 2026.

So does this mean you need to stock up or will your Beam and Coke be costing you more in the end because they're closing for a year?

Kentucky’s bourbon industry faces challenges including softer alcohol demand and record inventory levels. The Kentucky Distillers’ Association reported 16.1 million bourbon barrels in state storage.

So it's not like it's just going away I guess. They're just taking the year off to cure their hangovers.
