What's The Perfect Salary In The U.S.?

We all think we're worth more money than we make. Just a fact of life. I don't know if you think I'm rich, but I promise you I'M NOT! I work a lot, but I don't make the kind of money you might think. I can tell you that I personally am always looking for a new way to make a dime so I can do the things I want in life as well. Sometimes we need to save, and it takes some time. But that's just part of the game we call life.

So what do you think the amount of my you should make, and what would make you happy?

The average American describes their ideal salary as $74,000. Don't get me wrong, that's a good chunk of change. But is it "ideal" for you too?

1 in 5 people say they’d need six-figure earnings to support their desired lifestyle. If that means more travel, more things for the house, or just not having to worry when the tires go out on your car and it's time to replace all 4 and then brakes. It happens.

Half of respondents feel their current income is insufficient, with 24% unhappy with their pay. If earning more, most would prioritize savings, investments, and debt payments. (we all say we would pay down debt, but lets be real, you really want a vacation.)

Small businesses are also seen as more gratifying to work for compared to larger firms. But then that goes back to the "it will take me how long to make how much" convo.

So simply put, there is no price or amount of money that can make you happy. You need to decide to be happy with the situation. The money will come if you put in the work. At least that's what I keep telling myself.
