The Cleveland Guardians have parted ways with a former Cy Young Award winner.
The team traded Shane Bieber to the Toronto Blue Jays yesterday. Cleveland received pitching prospect Khal Stephen in return.
Bieber has not pitched in the big leagues this season after undergoing Tommy John surgery last year.
Cleveland also traded reliever Paul Sewald to the Detroit Tigers.
The Guardians host the Minnesota Twins tonight.
