On Wednesday, July 12, the legendary psych/pop, British Invasion band The Zombies dedicated a new exhibit at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. The exhibit features artifacts from the band's five-decade long career. The original Zombies - singer Colin Blunstone, keyboardist Rod Argent, drummer Hugh Grundy, and bassist Chris White - were also joined by current-day Zombies members guitarist Tom Toomey, drummer Steve Rodford, and bassist Jim Rodford.
The new exhibit caps an eventful year which saw The Zombies release a new album, "Still Got That Hunger", and mount an extensive tour celebrating the 50th anniversary of their iconic album, "Odessey and Oracle", which they played in it's entirety.
Being a lifelong Clevelander - and lifelong music junkie - it was a genuine thrill for me to be there to witness such a special moment for one of my favorite bands, at my favorite place in the entire city! If you've not been to the Rock Hall in a while, or have never visited, it's about time you take care of that! Get info at rockhall.org
