Last month, Slipknot revealed that fan suspicion was right and they recorded a new song called "Long May You Die." In a new interview with Revolver, Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan got the maggots even more excited by teasing when and how they can expect to hear the upcoming single.

“I can say that there’s gonna be music sooner than you can imagine, delivered to you in a way you can’t imagine,” he said. “And I’m excited because we’re not on a label. And there’s a lot of dismay with that, you know what I mean? But there’s also a lot of middle fingers with that. I love it, you know? Come and get us, or we'll come to get you!”

Clown's referencing Slipknot's contract with Roadrunner Records expiring last year, and while he does expect the band to find a new home at some point, for now he's "interested in understanding what it means to go directly from our brains to your brain with nobody in the way.”

"Long May You Die" was written during some “recent recording sessions” with Slipknot's new drummer Eloy Casagrande. The band is also gearing up for a massive summer tour that includes a star-studded Knotfest in their home state of Iowa. Check out the full list of tour dates here.
