Tigers Broadcasters Involved In Off-Air Scuffle

posted by KiddChris -

Things are up in the air for Fox Sports Detroit after two Detroit Tigers announcers were involved in a scuffle on Tuesday night.  The Athletic is reporting Mario Impemba and Rod Allen got into a physical fight following Tuesday's game in Chicago against the White Sox.  On Wednesday, viewers were surprised to see Matt Shepard and Kirk Gibson anchoring the pregame show.  While the cause of the fight has not been made immediately clear, sources told reporters the tension has been brewing between the two for quite sometime before it eventually boiled over on Tuesday.  It's unclear what exactly happened and if anyone was injured, but Fox Sports GM Greg Hammaren said the fight is an internal matter that's being addressed.
