This week Lars brought some hope and joy to a 2 year old suffering with cancer. Milan is unable to express himself verbally as he struggles with a severe disorder where excess immune system cells build up in the body & is being treated with chemotherapy. This 2 year old doesn’t communicate verbally but has a way of communicating his desires. Everytime Metallica is put on in the hospital this kid lights up & even air drums.
After a successful Twitter campaign to reach Lars, the Metallica drummer reached out to this two year old through video chat. Milan had a huge smile when he realized that Lars was speaking to him. Lars is touched that Metallica’s music has the ability to make a difference through Milan’s challenging time.
