Watch Band Get Festival Audience to Pass a Beer to Its Sound Guy

U.K. band Nothing But Thieves got a crowd to do them a big favor at last week's Glastonbury Festival when hundreds of fans helped deliver a beer from the stage to the sound guy for his birthday.

Frontman Conor Mason poured the beer himself (which he assured fans was not a good representation of his beer-pouring acumen) on the stage, then handed it to a security guard, who passed it along to two more security guards before it reached the hands of someone in the front row.

"I used to be barman," Mason says, "and that like the worst pint I've ever poured. What the hell is that?"

The video, posted by BBC Radio 1 on Facebook, speeds up after the beer changes hands a few times. We get the impression the whole process took several minutes.

Eventually The Nail receives his beer to uproarious applause as he nods to the crowd and takes a sip.

People have been weighing in on the video on Facebook. Most comments either applaud the artist and audience working together for a common goal or question the hygiene of this rather inefficient beer delivery system.
