Roger Federer made history in Cincinnati today, becoming the first player to reach 300 match wins at the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 level with his win over Vasek Pospisil.

It took two hours for the five-time champion to dismantle the young Canadian 7-6(4), 5-7, 6-2. The first break of the match went to Pospisil at 6-5 in the second set to force a third. Federer finally got two breaks of his own in the final set and won 100% of his first serve points to clinch the win.
